Relaxed Mind Meditation Retreat

  • The Boston Center for Contemplative Practice 796 Beacon Street Newton, MA USA (map)

Featuring a live video talk with Kilung Rinpoche

This half-day retreat offers a unique opportunity to learn and practice meditation from Dza Kilung Rinpoche, the Tibetan meditation master, who will join the class via video conference.

Soon after Kilung Rinpoche began teaching in the US in the 1990s, he recognized how deeply Western cultural pressures can influence the way people walk the path of meditation, often bringing a sense of pressure and rapidity across into their practice. Since genuine relaxation of body and mind are the very foundation for being able to deepen in meditation, he began developing and refining the seven meditations that will be introduced in this retreat. Refreshingly simple, these meditations remain true to the essence of the meditation tradition.

We will meditate as a group in the morning and be joined mid-day by Kilung Rinpoche via video-conference.

Everyone is welcome, no matter what your experience is.
